Nirav Shah

As PlanetRead’s Chief Operating Officer, Nirav has headed the organization right from its inception. Moreover, he was the project coordinator for the Same Language Subtitling (SLS) project which led to the formation of PlanetRead. He graduated from Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education, Puducherry with Computer Science, Biology, English, French and Philosophy as his major subjects.

Maaran

Being the most elderly person in the team, he is our Accounts officer with about 25 years of experience in accounting and managing his own business ventures. He has a B.Com from Madras University and has done the intermediate level of a Chartered Accountants course. Maaran has been a part of the PlanetRead team since its inception.

Parthibhan Amudhan

His role is to ensure the quality of our products and services by having effective production/work systems. He joined the PlanetRead team in January 2006. He also oversees the operations for smooth functioning of office administration and personnel management. After graduating with a Masters in French, with specialization in Translation and Interpretation from Pondicherry University, he went to north western France on a Student Exchange program for a year. For about 2 years, he was a part of the Chennai Loyola College Rotaract Club which is one of Asia’s biggest Rotary clubs.

Vijay Shinalkar

As a part of the Mumbai team, he takes care of the general operations by closely working with Nirav Shah. He coordinates between the language experts and the editors to make sure the systems run smoothly. He also takes care of the office maintenance. He is a History graduate and has a wide range of experience in Film Editing and Office Management.

Uttam Mondal

Being our Systems/Networks’ Administrator, he makes sure that all our computers are running smoothly. He also maintains all the electronic equipment and takes care of the NLE machine at the Puducherry office. He has worked as a Support Engineer for over 6 years for some private IT companies and has got a Master’s in Economics from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata.

Hema Jadwani

As one of the first team members, she joined the PlanetRead right from the day we started field research for the Same Language Subtitling (SLS) project at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. She has been instrumental in the making of many Gujarati folk songs and children's stories and provided research support in several states.
